OUR FILM REVIEW

 We keep working on our Mass Media project, and now we are learning to write movies, books, series...reviews. Madison has helped us to do it, and this is our first review. We have done collaboratively, by team work, and this is the result:

Film: Encanto

Director: Byron Howard

Day Watched: Sunday

Type: Animated and Musical

Description: Encanto is about a family called the Madrigals who live in Colombia and everyone has 

magical gifts, except Mirabel. Mirabel tries to save the magic when she discovers it is in danger. 

The music in the film is great too! 

Characters: 

Mirabel is the main character with no magical gift

Camilo is my favorite character because he is funny. His power is a “shape shifter” 

Abuela is a very important character because she gives the family their powers 

Review:

I watched a film called Encanto by Byron Howard on Sunday. The film is animated and a musical. 

It is about a family, from Colombia, that all have powers except for one girl named Mirabel. 

The main character Mirabel is a confident, generous and intelligent girl who saves the magic

 even though she does not have a magical gift. Dolores, who is a cousin of Mirabel, can hear everything. 

Luisa is a sister of Mirabel who is stronger than everybody else in the town. Isabella is her other sister, 

who is perfect and beautiful. Her gift is making plants and flowers. Alma is a very important character 

that is strict to her family because she wants the Madrigals to be perfect. I love the music in the film. 

The best song is “Family Madrigal” that is fun, fast and will make you dance! The plot of the story was

incredible and I loved the film. 

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

 We are learning about mass media, and, in order to celebrate the International Women's Day, Madison has prepared this slides about some important women in different arts. We have written letters to her telling why we admire them.
